Publishing C# Through Visual Studio 2008

Mon May 28, 2012 10:26 pm

Novice working with the Head First Programming for C#. Just finished a simple database app and can publish it to a USB drive or a folder. Visual Studio offers publishing to a website. Two attempts have failed. I write to inquire if there is some structural barrier to uploading apps to a Microsoft Skydrive. Guidance sought.

Are you talking about getting your app from Visual Studio onto the Pi?
If so, you ought to go over to the forum thread on Mono (C#). There are a number of prerequisites to getting that code to run on a Pi. If you're just getting into programming and want to do it on a Pi, then C# isn't the easiest language for this platform. Looks like Python is going to be the most popular on the Pi.

Also, Skydrive on the Pi isn't an option. There's no Skydrive client for Linux.
Samba is on the Pi to make is easier to drag and drop files from Windows machines.
