How you installed Net core?

I install it normally in /opt

Code: Select all

sudo mkdir -p /opt/dotnet
sudo tar zxf dotnet-sdk*.tar.gz -C /opt/dotnet
sudo ln -s /opt/dotnet/dotnet /usr/local/bin
Then I set the environment var in .bashrc:

Code: Select all

export DOTNET_ROOT=/opt/dotnet
I've no problem with this setup for .NET and ASP.NET on Raspbian.

I'm now facing a SQL Server client (Sql.Data.SqlClient) problem on Pi4 Buster, locking inside the sqlconn.Open() call. I will try to figure out why.

.NET on Rasbian is about as ugly as Ruby.
