Perl Backup

Mon Aug 20, 2012 12:35 pm

Hi All,

I spent a long time stting up Perl (cpanminus) and some modules that required a lot of dependencies, only to realise that I had installed on the wrong SD card.

Is it possible to just move a folder(s) to a new SD card or do I need to re-install again.

Many thanks for any assistance.

James.

It depends on the modules you installed and their dependencies.

Some modules have to install other modules to work, and some may link to certain software on the system and that may, or may not, be installed in the same location on different systems.

It's probably best to reinstall all your modules, but I'm pretty sure that you can make a list and cpanminus will install all of them for you. I think you just use a blank space between module names like so:

cpanm CGI::Session HTML::Template DateTime

Hope this helps...
