Hi, I wonder if there is any package available to do OCR on stored images. I read about OCRopus and other called Tesserac, but I don't know if it any is available for the RPI.

@AlvaroFG: Learn how to use the package management of the Linux you are using on the Raspi and look for yourself. The answer to your question is most probably yes.

It's worth noting that OCR needs a load of space the RPi may be capable but it's going to struggle on even moderate documents.
