codeblocks debugging problems

Mon May 16, 2016 1:57 am

Hi everyone!

I recently started programming in c++ on codeblocks but I encountered a problem while debugging. It's kind of weird so I'll try to explain it at my best...

1.The debugger works fine in the codeblocks windows
2.I get this on the terminal window: "warning: GDB: Failed to set controlling terminal: Opération non permise" I guess it's common so it's not the problem...(Oui je parle français)
3.No outputs are shown on the terminal window when there should be (works fine when not debugging)
4.BUT... when I hit continue (the red play button) I can see all my outputs on the console terminal window before it closes

What can I do to fix it and see my outputs when debugging?

It's a problem with the permissions of the tty or pty. Check the answer to a similar question on http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7407 ... ion-not-pe - the solution given there is not to use an external tty.

Sooooo... I heard a lot of people are debugging on codeblocks so how can I do it?

Do I really need to debug directly on the terminal?
