qtcreator, qt5: video widget/canvas feat. object detection?

Sat Sep 28, 2019 7:59 am

hello
is anyone experienced in how to create a qt5 creator video widget (canvas) which shows the video of a USB WebCam on a pan/tilt mount, feat. object detection and object tracking? e.g. like recognizing a bicycle or a car and tracking it when moving?
Also some qt tutorials would be appreciated e.g. like available for opencv or TensorFlow.

Some extra widgets might be placed near-by for user control (move cam, select object, track, screenshot, ,...)

You can certainly run Qt5 as the UI, and OpenCV to do object detection, but the operations you specify are quite complex.
Personally, I prefer to use Python for this kind of experimentation, and have some simple PyQt + OpenCV examples on my blog:

The best explanations I've found of OpenCV image-recognition techniques are on PyImageSearch:

..but again, that is Python, not C.
