Pi Camera Programs in Python

Thu Nov 07, 2013 8:02 pm

Hello, My name is Brandon.

I was wondering how I would go about making a program using the Pi Camera?

Like, I want to make a program which takes a picture every 3 seconds or so and then put them all together so you can see like the clouds movement overtime and such.

I would just like to know if there is some sort of package or API for it.

Thank you.

-Brandon

The provided software has a time lapse mode. You can take the resulting images and splice them together using other software. There are examples on YouTube of exactly this.

Also check this out, looks to be a very comprehensive python interface to the camera and is being actively developed, found this over in the camera section.
