Trouble with GUI

Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:11 pm

Using python 2.7 on pi. Using a Motorola atrix set up and just changed the keyboard so that the " and @ characters are correct. Tested it by using the standard print "hello" from the command line and it works perfectly. When I go to the GUI Idle python shell and type the same thing, I get a syntax error. Any ideas why. I' m new to Linux and Python so I would really appreciate any thoughts

@Dog glitz: Maybe you started IDLE for Python 3? There ``print`` is a function and not a keyword.

Code: Select all

while not self.asleep():
    sheep += 1
