Kivy GUI - Touch screen issue

Fri Aug 17, 2018 12:44 pm

Hi to all,

I am writing a GUI using Kivy and the 5-inch Display-B (MPI5001).

When I run it manually, everything is fine. The problem is that, once added to /etc/init.d/ the touch screen does not work.
And also I have a weird behavior, if I login using SSH and run another instance, the touch screen start working again !

So to be clear : The script start a boot time, the screen displays my GUI but touch screen is unresponsive. Log in using SSH, run the script manually and the touch screen start working.

This is really weird and wondering what could cause this ?

Thanks !

Did you just configure the touchscreen in your local config file e.g. ~/.kivy/config.ini ?

You may need to change the global config instead.

Hello. Where is the global config file? Is that changed by doing "sudo nano ~/.kivy/config.ini"
