Cannot install Cython

Hey guys,

I have tried to install Cython using pip only to get the message:

Unable to find pgen, not compiling formal grammar.

Then the terminal freezes. What is causing this problem? I am using Raspbian Jessie.

I built cython when installing kivy (I followed these instructions). I saw that message too (I think it's just a warning rather than an error) but, eventually, it did finish building.

When you say the terminal freezes, how long have you waited?

I recall that when I installed Cython I simply used apt-get rather than pip -

sudo apt-get install cython

I vaguely recall having tried pip but that was taking forever so I aborted that and used apt-get which took mere seconds to complete.
