Trying to use Python to be a status screen

Sun May 09, 2021 8:13 pm

Hi Everyone

I am trying to get Python to display live data and images to a display board (see attachment).
While i am good at Python scripting, i have no idea how to approach this side of Python. I have tried looking at Pygame, but this does not seem to do what i want or i have no idea where to start. The screen in use will be the official 7inch screen.

My script has the values as needed, so i can populate the screen where necessary.

Any ideas or where to look would be greatly received and any examples that are similar would be brilliant.

Thanks

Christian

Pygame can do that - where did you get stuck?

For pygame, it came across for creating games and something not as simple as i want to do. i seemed to fail on scaling the pictures (they are full res from the camera) and at the same time displaying text on the same screen.

I will have another go afresh (yes I deleted my attempts).
