interface matlab with LCD display using raspberry pi

Good day all...
I am currently doing a project that need to display something using LCD display in Matlab using raspberry pi. I have install all the support package for raspberry pi to interface with Matlab and yet, I do not have any idea on how to write the script in Matlab. Can anyone please help me in this?
I do not need to have the analog input from GPIO of raspberry pi and just want to display some numbers.
