Video player with Hardware Acceleration and PulseAudio

Fri Jul 13, 2012 12:57 pm

Somebody know any software like omxplayer with RPi hardware acceleration of h264 (mkv) and PulseAudio?
I'd like to connect my RPi like this:
TV----(hdmi)----RPi----------(lan)-------------Server(storage/audio server)-------analog 5.1 speakers.

I'd like to send audio via PulseAudio client from RPi to PulseAudio to Server. When I use a 'paplay' everythink works fine, and my PulseAudio server plays the music via network, but I cannot find any video player with PulseAudio funcionality (omxplayer doesn't have PulseAudio options, mplayer & vlc don't use a hardware acceleration)

No idea if it'll help or not  but have you looked at XBMC yet?

Otherwise I guess you'll have to wait for hardware-acceleration to get added to mplayer :(
