Interfacing Cirrus Audio Card with Raspberry B+

Mon Feb 02, 2015 5:15 am

Hi,
We are using raspberry pi b+ along with cirrus audio card for two way audio communication.
The two way audio communication is established between b+ and another smartphone device and both the devices are on the same network. Now, we are facing an issue regarding Acoustic Echo whenever two way audio communication starts. If this communication is done in half duplex it is working perfectly fine. However, our motive of the project is to have a two way communication.
We referred to WM5102 datasheet how to configure AEC under digital core dsp firmware control Page Number 111 it has been mentioned that " DSP firmware can be configured using Wolfson-supplied software packages. A software programming guide can also be provided to assist users in developing their own software algorithms - please contact your local Wolfson representative for further information.". However, when we contacted wolfson representative they said that it has been acquired by cirrus logic hence we have to contact them. When we have contacted cirrus logic engineers they are saying they don't have any dsp firmware and it can't be developed you have to contact Raspberry PI engineers .
So, we are posting our issue in this forum, in the hope that some one from raspberry pi technical team can sort out this issue.

The Cirrus audio card was developed by Farnell and Wolfson and uses code written by Wolfson + Farnell. For support I would message Farnell support directly on their website
