MPU6050 Interfacing with the pi

Fri Jan 09, 2015 11:51 am

Hi! I have a raspberry b+.
I would be ordering a mpu6050 gyro+accelerometer soon. I am pretty much of a noob with the I2C pins and circuits like the mpu6050.
i saw in many posts that the raw data are stored in the registers from where it is pulled out.
All I know about registers is they are combination of flipflops and are used as storage device.
I have a few questions to fire up..
Are these registers present in the 6050 or are we referring to the registers of the pi?

When we talk about raw data from the 6050 ,what exactly is this raw data?

I would love it if anyone can guide me to a good book which covers these topics ..or another thread.

Thanks !!
