Re: How long have you run your raspi for?
Wow, this is a nice thread. I was planing on leaving my pi on 24/7 when i get one, but i don't want it to die off

Re: How long have you run your raspi for?
I've not had it running for more than about 4 days at a stretch (too much fiddling with the GPIO ports). However I have recompiled the ATLAS (http://math-atlas.sourceforge.net/) libraries on it. It hammers the CPU solidly for about 40 hours straight.
Then I crashed the SD card, lost it, rebuilt everything and built it again!

Re: How long have you run your raspi for?
Had mine up or about 9 days before it kernel panicked. It's up to 3 again.

You beat me. After 34 days and 5 hours I had to power R2 off.PPPi wrote:$ uptime

Not because of pi issues. I just needed to move the extension lead that provided power to the hub and pi

I had two that ran for 190 days before we had a plumbing/heating system failure and had to turn off the power (15 days ago).

Or inadequate electrical installation design resulting in the heating control supply not being isolatable without disabling poor innocent Pis?

Or two Pis to control one heating system (no wonder it failed

Re: How long have you run your raspi for?
It was a simple case of not being able to find which circuit breaker controlled the immersion heater supply, so it was easier to turn everything off to isolate that while the plumber swapped out the broken cylinder.

Hi,
191 days and counting: Screen cap of ssh into headless RPi with a Message of the Day (MOTD) initial screen.
This Pi and another one are powered from a 12 volt lead-acid battery, through a buck converter. A Christmas Eve power outage for 9 hours was not a problem!
