Can the RaspberryPI run Webkit CSS Animations?

Fri Jul 19, 2013 9:32 am

I am looking for a board that is powerful enough to run webkit animations without too much lag.

The goal is to boot into a bare minimum X11 (or equivalent) and launch webkit (I don't need a full desktop environment)
This will act as a launcher for other apps.

Any advise would be helpful!
Thanks.

Based on the current webkit performance on the Pi, I would say "No". It can run the animations but not very smoothly at the moment. Smoothness would be dependant on how much of the screen is getting animated.

If you had a Pi I would recommend to check out this thread: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 38&t=43087
and try the software there.
