Restore desktop session after reboot?

Sat Aug 10, 2019 12:04 am

Hi, I'd like to be able to save open applications and window positions and restore them after reboot. Is there anything for that which works under Raspbian (Buster)?

You might try dconf-editor https://www.howtogeek.com/203952/how-to ... ntu-14.04/
I checked to verify that dconf it is in the Raspbian Buster repository but have not actually tried it myself.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

Thank you! I tried wmctrl and it's doing a good job for restoring window positions when I launch them from a script, I think this will work just fine.
