I am thinking of building a 3-touchscreen system that consists of a Pi 3B+ and 2 or more Zero W, all powering a small touchscreen.
My software uses Java and Apache Thrift for RPC, hence I need to have all Zeros communicate with the "Master" 3B+ as fast as possible.
Apache Thrift uses TCP communication.
Now I read about this Ethernet gadget mode, and I am not sure if this is the thing that I need.
What I would like to achieve is to connect the Zeros via USB to the 3B+ and have a new network interface for each connected one on both sides, which allows me to do standard ethernet actions (TCP, UDP) between those devices.
Is that possible? And if so, what speeds are possible?
