Recently I salvaged a old HP 2133 for parts because it was having graphical issues... I have the display from it and in was wondering what type of board or adapter I can purchase to use it for a raspberry pi?

There may or may not be a compatible controller board. There are 3rd party display interface to HDMI boards available for LVDS type screens found in many old laptops and VGA monitors. Get the model number from the back of the screen and search Ebay.
If you are having graphical issues such as a burnt out CFL back-light tube then of course you will have to fix that beforehand. There are kits for that as well....... either CFL replacements or upgrade to LED back-light.
IMO for the cost of all that you could buy a brand new HDMI TV.

This is the type of LVDS Board required, but would need the Panel Part Number to confirm suitability, also need a 12v3A PSU, total cost if shop around maybe $50.00
