change usbmound default user

Tue May 03, 2016 11:52 am

Hey guys I've been working on this for a little while and I was wondering if anyone else knew of a solution. I've installed usbmount and whenever I plug something in the rights go to

Code: Select all

root root
I'd love to get a way to make it so that it is

Code: Select all

pi pi
so that whenever I boot into the gui I can edit files with no issues.

I've found

Code: Select all

/ett/usbmount/usbmount.conf
and in there I saw

Code: Select all

FS_MOUNTOPTIONS=""
I changed that to

Code: Select all

FS_MOUNTOPTIONS="uid=pi,gid=pi"
and that didn't do anything. Is there something I'm missing or is there something additional/different to put in? I'm still looking into this but I wanted to ask also incase someone else knows!

Thanks :)

Bump!

I also tried

Code: Select all

FS_MOUNTOPTIONS="uid=1000,gid=1000"
and it didn't work :(
