PSK-31 executable

Mon Jul 23, 2012 1:52 am

Other than FLDIGI, which swamps the RPi processor, does anybody have or know of a *WORKING* PSK-31 program? I have tried twpsk, gpsk31, phaseshift, linpsk, gmpsk, and of course FLDIGI. Other than FLDIGI, they don't load, abort with all sorts of errors, etc., etc.

FLDIGI does recognize my SignaLink USB interface that I have connected to my Yaesu FT-817ND.

Thanks and 73 /paul W3FIS

I had no idea what you were talking about  so for the benefit of anybody else similarly confused, I found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSK31

Sorry for any confusion! The RPi along with my rather small Yaesu FT-817ND transceiver would make for a great system. My desk is getting crowded... <grin>.

Any help would be appreciated. I have some information that PSK311X might work, but where might I get a package for the RPi?

I have tried TWPSK, but get funny diagnostics and an abort when I try to run that one. Working on that now with the guy who wrote the program.

That's probably your best bet. Most of these programs would only ever have been run on x86 architecture, and they are low-level enough to notice that things have changed.

I to am interested, after a few years recovering from illness, the RPi has pulled me up by the bootstraps! and I would like to use all or at least psk in the "sound card modes" but being very new to linux I cant seem to setup the progam with the correct sound card info, the default on the program refers to "/dev/dsp, dsp 0 1..2..none of which work
I can see the other devices, also see the external sound device but dont seem to having much luck.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

TIA

Using fldigi, I have been able to send a transmission that was copied on 40 meters. The send part works. What doesn't work is the receive portion of the program. I use the Signalink USB sound card. I can see the waterfall. All I get is gibberish on the screen.

I certainly would love to help work on solving this problem if somebody would point me in the right direction.
