Raspi 2 Voltage Measurement

Fri Feb 13, 2015 11:50 am

How to measure the voltage on the pi 2? The old one had TP1 and TP2 points to measure on it. But the pi 2 don't have the TP1 and TP2 point.

Use test points on bottom of board near the micro USB.
PP1 or PP2 or F1 side closest to the edge of the board = 5V from micro USB (Before the fuse).
PP3 or PP5 = Ground. Or any of the metal shields on USB, RJ45 etc.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

Thnx!
is it also possible to measure after the fuse?

That is PP7 on B+ but haven't verified on the RPi2.
You can measure after the fuse at F1 side closest center of board or GPIO header pin 2 or 4.

No, or at least not without additional circuitry, including a (calibrated) A/D converter. (A Pi doesn't have any "analogue" inputs). However it is possible to check whether a low-voltage trigger has happened (via the mechanism used to trigger the display of the low-voltage icon).
Trev.
Still running Raspbian Jessie or Stretch on some older Pi's (an A, B1, 2xB2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W, 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, and a A+) but Buster on the P4B's. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm
