File system full after camera crash.

Fri Jan 30, 2015 5:22 pm

Hi y'all,

Slight problemo. I am rigging up a push button, take video project and set a script to run as a cron at startup.
I stupidly didn't set the script to sleep until the Pi had fully booted therefore recording began immediately. When I realised it was recording video I had to pull the power.

Upon reboot and cancelling the cron I found out that the file system is full and I cannot write anything to it. I am guessing that the video file produced has filled up the SD card.

I cannot find any evidence of the file and have used many methods to hunt it down including looking for 'deleted but still open' files and truncating them. I just cannot find out what is causing this use of the SD card. Has anyone else cone across this and did they manage to fix it?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Andy.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
The script was directed to save to /home/pi/raspicam folder. The folder shows no evidence of any files except my script. I have searched the whole Pi and no .H264 to be found. Will give fdisk a go when I get get home from work.
