Can't seem to get a display with hdmi

Mon Jun 25, 2012 8:01 pm

Hi guys, I just got my pi today (WOO!) and am having a little trouble setting it up. I plugged it into my HDMI cable and from that into my Bush TV. A red and orange light eventually came onto the pi but my TV just had the words "not support!" (yes, even that spelling) on the screen. Is there something I am doing wrong? I had an SD card plugged into it with Debian Squeeze on it. I can't do much until I know what is wrong so would love some help asap. Thanks.
