SD Card is ALWAYS Write Protected

Sun Oct 19, 2014 10:41 pm

Um, hi.
I've been having trouble with my SD Card. I have installed NOOBS on it, and it will work with my Pi just fine. Raspbian is cool, but I've always liked BackTrack and Kali linux. I found an article on how to install kali on the RPi, but the problem is, my SD card is locked. It's always Write Protected. I've tried the switch both ways, either way doesn't work. I've tried blowing into the sd card reader slot on my laptop, and my desktop. It's locked on both of those computers. My Raspberry Pi still works, I'm just downright confused on why this keeps happening.

I'm not even sure if I'll even go through with Kali, on my Pi yet, but I just want this problem to be dealt with either way.

(Not Sure) Try to connect the sd another computer and when it is connected go to its properties and go to security tab and uncheck "Write Protection". If it dont work msg back!
