Micro SD card problems

Wed Aug 27, 2014 12:51 am

Error resizing existing FAT partition error.

I bought a Raspberry Pi B+ and this micro sd card because I didn't have one.

I looked up the error and everywhere it says to follow the instructions, fully format the SD card, and turn "format size adjustment" on. I already did that! I tried it 3 times over! First I tried the full NOOBS offline and then I tried the NOOBS network install. Please help.

Sounds like you're also getting https://github.com/raspberrypi/noobs/issues/174

Make sure you 'safely remove' the SD card after copying NOOBS to it, and if you still get the error see

for more info and a possible workaround.

I did do "Safely remove" on windows just to be safe. I'll check out those links.

The links provided are the same as if I google searched my problem. I've already looked at them and this is why I started a new thread. The error is not the same as mine as far as I know. Here is an image of the error window:

Yes I have the SD card named.

Wow, "Fatal: Bad FAT: unterminated chain for \OS\ARCH\SLIDES~1." is certainly an error I've not seen before :o

Do you always get the same error every time, even after using the SDFormatter option? Have you used H2testw to check that your SD card isn't faulty?
