I followed this guide https://extremeshok.com/1081/raspberry- ... ory-usage/ regarding "Replace rsyslogd with inetutils-syslogd and remove useless logs".

Now I have each command I run via shell logged to messages file.
How can I avoid this?

Code: Select all

Jul 27 10:43:54 mcgrasp sudo: pi : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/var/log ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/rm btmp.1.gz dmesg.1.gz dmesg.2.gz messages.1.gz wtmp.1.gz
Jul 27 10:43:54 mcgrasp sudo: pam_unix(sudo:session): session opened for user root by pi(uid=0)
Jul 27 10:43:59 mcgrasp sudo: pam_unix(sudo:session): session closed for user root
Jul 27 10:44:01 mcgrasp CRON[1474]: pam_unix(cron:session): session opened for user pi by (uid=0)
Jul 27 10:44:06 mcgrasp CRON[1474]: pam_unix(cron:session): session closed for user pi
Jul 27 10:44:12 mcgrasp sudo: pi : TTY=pts/0 ; PWD=/var/log ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/bin/rm dmesg.0
Jul 27 10:44:12 mcgrasp sudo: pam_unix(sudo:session): session opened for user root by pi(uid=0)
Jul 27 10:44:12 mcgrasp sudo: pam_unix(sudo:session): session closed for user root
Jul 27 10:45:01 mcgrasp CRON[1504]: pam_unix(cron:session): session opened for user pi by (uid=0)
Jul 27 10:45:01 mcgrasp CRON[1505]: pam_unix(cron:session): session opened for user pi by (uid=0)
And how can I avoid crontab log?

Code: Select all

Jul 27 10:45:01 mcgrasp sudo: pi : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/home/pi ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/home/pi/raspberry-mcg/script/check_wlan0.sh
syslog.conf

Code: Select all

*.*;mail.none;cron.none -/var/log/messages
cron.* -/var/log/cron
mail.* -/var/log/mail
