Trouble stting Rasp Pi up as a WiFi AP

Fri May 30, 2014 8:30 pm

I was trying to set up my Pi as a WiFi AP (using this guide ... t?view=all ).
All fine and ok till I'm trying to modify the dhcp.conf. The file is empty for me, no lines in it to modify.

What is it I'm doin wrong?

Thanks for any kind of help.

Are you using the correct filename? The file to edit is /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf, not dhcp.conf as in your post. If that doesn't help, list the files in /etc/dhcp with the command:

Code: Select all

ls /etc/dhcp
There should be a couple files in there, including dhcpd.conf, if not then isc-dhcp-server might not be installed correctly.
