Hey all,I'm trying to get the sixaxis manager on my retropie for use of ps3 controllers. (I'm only using usb) Now when I go to download that package: wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtsixa/ ... src.tar.gz

I get a 404 Not Found error. I typed everything right and have a ethernet connection. Any thoughts?

I am having the same error, I'm wondering if this second worked for you?. I have tried both of the links listed in this post but get:

"HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 404 Not Found"

each time. Is there any way to install this software in a different way?

Is anyone else having this issue or have they solved it?

Ok so I have been trying everything under the sun and finally I got this one to work:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtsixa/ ... .96.tar.gz

This downloaded from the source:

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/projec ... tlayer-dal

which then resolved to

http://softlayer-dal.dl.sourceforge.net ... .96.tar.gz

Now SixA is downloaded and saved to the file name qtsixa-1.4.96.tar.gz
Then I continued this tutorial at http://dhoium3009.wordpress.com/raspber ... bluetooth/

The steps it says to take are as follows:

sudo tar xfvz QtSixA-1.5.1-src.tar.gz

Instead I did

sudo tar xfvz QtSixA-1.4.96-src.tar.gz

Then it says to:

cd QtSixA-1.5.1/sixad

Instead I did

cd QtSixA-1.5.0/sixad

Then it says to type in this:

sudo make

This gives me this error:

sixad-bin.cpp:39:20 error: taking address of temporary [-fpermissive]
make: *** [sixad_bins] Error 1

Not sure what to do at this point. I think I have successfully downloaded Sixad even though it seems to be a different version.

I'm still not sure why I get the 404 error with the http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtsixa/ ... src.tar.gz link, and when I try a different version, I can't execute the sudo make command.

Help?

Some corporate firewalls block Sourceforge (as a source of unauthorized software).

Thanks for the reply. This would make sense, but I am on my home network and I am not getting a 404 error with any other sf links on my raspberry pi, also when I access the file from my desktop on the same network it downloads fine.

The other weird thing is that I downloaded QtSixA-1.5.1-src.tar.gz and transferred it to my pi via cyberduck and rebooted, but when I try to to the extraction command sudo tar xfvz QtSixA-1.5.1-src.tar.gz it didn't find the file. I was able to do the sudo tar xfvz command with the qtsix-1.4.96.tar.gz file that I downloaded and transferred to the pi via cyberduck, so it just seems to have a disliking for that file. It's so weird!

Anyway, after running

cd QtSixA-1.5.0/sixad
sudo make

I am still having this error (as described in the previous post):
sixad-bin.cpp:39:20 error: taking address of temporary [-fpermissive]
make: *** [sixad_bins] Error 1

Any ideas on what this could mean?
