Raspberry Pi acting erratic despite new install

I decided to reinstall Rasbian onto my Raspberry Pi, via NOOBS. I'm using all default settings except I have the thing overclocked at 800mHz. I type things into the CLI but my inputs seem to be not registering consistantly. When i finally log in I type startx to get to the GUI. I experience the same issuses with the LXTerminal. Sometimes the mouse freezes, and I can't move it, and I have to reboot the system. I decide after 5 times of experienceing these issues, and rebooting, to reformat the SD card and reinstall Rasbian, via NOOBS, ALL defaults and I experience the same issues. I know it is not my keyboard and mouse becuae I tested those on my normal computer and they worked fine. Its not my USB ports because I have a usb fan and it worked on both of my USB ports.

Sounds like a power supply problem. Try another and see if that helps.

I have a model B. My adaptor says it has an output of 5V, and 700 mA. Is this enough? The power requirements of the FAQ says that the model B uses 700-1000mA. Is this input or output?

It should be, but adapters don't always output the power they say they do. If you have another micro-usb phone charger lying around, you could try that.

Kernel panics, freezing or reboots are classic symptoms of an unsuitable power supply or F3 polyfuse going bad.
Sometimes even measuring the voltage at TP1/TP2 may look normal, but don't be fooled it's not always a good indicator as I have discovered with one of my phone chargers.
