Raspberry Pi Forums

I've been trying to get a Lilliput touchscreen working on my Raspberry Pi. I've read through an extensive amount of posts on this forum and other guides (including the EngineeringDIY and Simon's blog posts) and still cannot get it to work.

Fortunately, I think I have a good idea of where the problem is. When I run lsusb, I don't see anything regarding the eGalax device (yes, it's plugged in and the USB port works). Same goes for dmesg | grep eGalax. Weird... because all of the other guides have this part working.

I guess it could be a power thing as I'm not using a powered hub, although I am plugged into the wall using a standard power supply. I'm leaning towards a defective monitor, but I don't want to jump the gun.

Does anybody have more thoughts on this? I'm going to test it in a couple days with a powered hub... hopefully it'll make a difference.

have you finally fix this issue?
I've the same problem now. My Pi doesn't detect the eGalax but if I plug it to my notebook, it shows up with lsusb.
Did the powered usb hub fixed it?
