Hello,

I have an hdmi to VGA adapter that used to work with an older version of raspbian Wheezy. The new image fails to get the screen up on two different R Pi's and two different scan disk cards the power supply that reliably worked then still works now. This new version of Raspbian sucks and cannot figure out how to do something that an older version had no problem doing. How Can I fix this.

Thanks

I checked the entire list of things on this forum. Something killed both my pi's and It's not hardware as I've tried two of them

Is your HDMI to VGA adapter externally powered?
What model/type is it?
What voltage do you measure between testpoints TP1 & TP2?
What version of Raspbian?
I (and Raspbian) have no problems with this converter, for example:

You could try the suggestions in the trouble shooting guide.

I sometimes use an unpowered HDMI to VGA adapter and it works OK (most of the time), but the powered ones like Trevor shows in his webpage (another great step by step guide Trevor) are the way go.
