DHCPDISCOVER in endless Loop on startup

Wed Dec 25, 2013 1:41 pm

Hi,

I am running Raspberry pi with raspian installed.

Due to wrong entries in wpa_supplicant file, my pi is stuck in an endless DHCPDISCOVER mode during boot of my device.

How can i stop the loop and edit wpa_supplicant file again? I tried to press multiple keys on my keyboard but nothing worked.

Code: Select all

Sending on Socket/fallback
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 7
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 12
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 14
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 9
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 11
No DHCPOFFERS received.

Christian

Hi,

no, this does not help. It continues to run in a loop. I have no possibility to run sudo nano to edit the wpa_supplicant again.

Any ideas?

If you have the possibility, you could take the sd card off and edit the file on another computer. Note that if it is not a Linux-machine, you may need to install the drivers for the EXT-2 filesystem (should be freeware or open source).
