I have a model B and a d-link usb hub with its own power, and a Edimax EW-781Un pluged into it. So there is no power issues
My problem is that no matter which out of the box flavour of XBMC I use cannot get the wifi to work, with ethernet cable connected no problems. WIFI manager sees my network but will not accept my ssid, password, etc.
I have no problems with WIFI using NOOBS Raspbain but I dont know how to add XBMC onto it.
In a nutshell I am a newbie and just want any XBMC to work on my Pi with WIFI.
Thanks in advance

•Once the Raspberry Pi has booted up, go to Programs > OpenELEC OS Settings and select Network tab.
•In the Network tab, set the Network Technology as WLAN, Network Interface as wlan0 and WLAN SSID as your network’s name.
•Scroll down a bit and set WLAN security and WLAN Passphrase according to your home network’s settings.
•Click OK and reboot the system.

it should now be connected
