Mon Nov 25, 2013 3:20 am

i installed the uv4l drivers for the pi camera module from herr http://www.linux-projects.org/modules/s ... e&artid=14

then i installed motion and config from here http://www.linux-projects.org/modules/s ... e&artid=16

no in my logs i get the below output. It keeps retrying to connect but cant.. and i dont understand what "Nov 24 21:11:00 raspberrypi motion: [1] ioctl (VIDIOCGCAP): Invalid argument" means

Update

Tue Nov 26, 2013 1:46 am

Installed everything and started over. Now when i install and start motion i get the following:

Code: Select all

Processing triggers for man-db ...
Setting up motion (3.2.12-3.4) ...
insserv: warning: script 'uv4l_uvc' missing LSB tags and overrides
[ ok ] Starting motion detection daemon: motion.
The camera module seem to blink every so often as it keep re-trying to connect but is not succesfull..

anyone ever seen this "missing LSB tag overrides" issue?

I got same error like @djscoutmaster

So, I apply 'rpi-update', but it didn't help.

@djscoutmaster @diegocarrera
I had trouble getting linux-projects solution to work.
A friend recommended using mmal instead:

hope that helps

I'm seeing the same
insserv: warning: script 'uv4l_uvc' missing LSB tags and overrides
Is this the best place to get support for uv4l? Registration at linux-projects.org isn't currently working.
Can't find the thread you want? Try googling : YourSearchHere site:raspberrypi.org

Return to “Camera board”
