RaspberryPi not reachable from internet

Mon Oct 14, 2013 3:51 pm

RaspberryPi can reach the internet with no problems but other computers on the LAN cannot reach it. The Pi is configured with a static address. The command ip route show
responds :

default via 192.168.1.1 dev eth0
192.168.1.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src:192.168.1.149

and the command ping Dragon sends packets to the computer on the LAN with hostname Dragon and receives responses with 0% loss.

BUT pings from the computer Dragon to 192.168.1.149 get no response, 100% loss and pings to raspberrypi get the response Unknown host raspberrypi.

The system on the sd card is 2013-9-25-wheezy-raspbian.img

You don't have a firewall on Dragon blocking outbound pings or anything do you ?

No firewall for access to the LAN. Dragon can successfully ping other devices on the LAN.
