Pi broken ? Boots incredibly slow / freezes on boot

Hi there,

I got my Pi working with Raspbian on one SD-Card and the Raspbmc on another one (both installed via NOOBS).
Both of them were working perfectly fine :D (at least booting) till yesterday.
I had the Raspbmc running and wanted to start the Raspbian, so I chose 'shutdown' from the menu, then unplugged the power-supply, switched the SD-Cards and plugged the power back in.
Now there was no coloured screen at the beginning, immidiately there is the Raspberry Logo/'hold shift for recovery' screen.
I can't enter the recovery mode or do anything, after quite a while (~2-3 min) this screen disappears and the Pi seems to finally boot up, but when showing all the stuff that is initialised, it takes quite some seconds for every single line, and I get a lot of errors at the end of the lines.
When I saw this, I thought, that maybe the card was broken, so I unplugged the power again and switched back to the other card (Raspbmc), which was running perfectly just moments ago.
I had the same initial problem (no coloured screen, but 'shift for recovery' screen for a long time, then after about three times the usual time, Raspbmc starts, but I get errors on all the scripts.

Did I manage to break my Pi? :?

Its kinda weird to me, because it was working just moments before, and I even shut it down via Software and unplugged it to change cards, but both are not working any more...
I opened my casing and it seemed to me like there was a strange smell, but I am not really sure about that and I could not find anything looking obviously broken.

Does anyone know what to do or did I miss to give any details ?
Thanks for any help,
Pilicious
