Dim green light

Hello,

My raspberry was working fine for 5 months but yesterday, during a work SD card became unavailable (I could not save the file I was working with) and the OS collapsed. About 8 hours later I tried to start the raspberry - I managed it running only on the second time. Then a I rebooted and got only red light on and the green one was very dim. Following advices on various forums I
a) replaced power supply
b) re-flashed the OS image
c) checked the card in PC (looks ok - all the files are accesible)
d) waited several more hours
Nothing has help (although once the green light flashed shortly). I wonder I some has the same experience and what might help to solve the issue (I am from the Czech Rep so I would like to double check before sending it back to UK).

Thx, Macky

PS: I overvolted the raspi to 900 MHz using raspi-config. But as I said the device worked for 5 months without any problems...

Hi,
does the red light flash the whole time? Even when the raspi is off?
Maybe the SD-Card is broken? Did you try another SD-Card?

The red light won't flash

Dim green means bootcode.bin isn't being found, so booting isn't starting.
I would be trying a new SD card, and also checking to make sure the connections to the card are good - all the springy fingers are at a reasonable height, and the switch that detects the card opens/closes correctly when you insert the card

Hello,

I tried the card in PC - it does not seem to be faulty.

OK - it was really the card. It is readable on PC, but something probably went wrong with it... Finally I managed to get a new one which works fine...
