Changing the Gamma on the RasPi

Mon May 20, 2013 12:06 pm

Hey guys, been googling around trying to figure out how to change the gamma settings on the Raspberry Pi which were using in a project at University.

Using xgamma seems to have zero effect, and I cant seem to find anything to set in /boot/config.txt

Any takers?

Thanks in advance!

I'd also like to know how to set gamma. Does anyone know? I'm using my Raspberry with television (an old CRT with RGB Scart). It works great otherwise but dark movie scenes are a bit too dark. I'm using OpenELEC if that helps (though I could try with Raspbmc too).
