vcgencmd hangs

Sun May 12, 2013 2:47 pm

I attempted to run the vcgencmd, and nothing occurs. The command merely hangs. I have to issue a ctrl-c to break to the prompt. Any ideas whats going on?

The output of uname -a is :

Code: Select all

Linux raspberrypi 3.6.11+ #446 PREEMPT Fri May 10 20:17:25 BST 2013 armv6l GNU/Linux
Last evening I did run the rpi-update. Not sure if that broke it or not.

Also, when I look in the syslog and kern.log I see the following entry:

Code: Select all

vchiq: vchiq: could not connect: 1

Are you using gpu_mem=16? See:
https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/295

rpi-update will fix it.

I am using gpu_mem=16. Looks like the update fixed the problem. Thanks.
