Hi

Just bought my first pi:

Model b
1500 v5 psu
16gig sd with wheezy preinstalled

I have a problem. when i connect to tv using hdmi i get no signal. I have tried connecting just the tv, and I have checked files and config on the sd -everything seems fine. It seems to boot sometimes and not others. I got to log in twice so far, but 9 out of 10 times I just get no signal.

Any help will be appreciated

You need to establish which of these two situations you are in.

1. The RPi does not always boot.

2. The RPi always boots OK but sometimes nothing appears on the display.

Do you notice a difference in the flashing of the green ACT LED between when the RPi comes up OK and when it does not?

A difference points to situation 1. If you press on the SD card does that improve matters? http://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting# ... not_always

No difference suggests you look at http://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting# ... put_at_all and try adjusting the config_hdmi_boost parameter.

You could also try booting with the RPi connected to a TV using the composite video output.
