No keyboard, mouse or network

Sat Feb 02, 2013 10:04 pm

Hi guys!

I got my raspberry pi yesterday and it's not working with keyboard, mouse or power adapters. Wired network is not working either.

The keyboard is a k120 (100mA) and the mouse is a g5 lasermouse, both from logitech, 100mA and listed as working at the verified peripherals elinux page.

I tried 3 diferent power adapters from mobile phones: Samsung galaxy s2 (0.7A), motorola spice (0.7A) and iphone 3gs (1A).

I "arped" from a linux box and the pi was not on the network.

I tried 3 images:
2012-09-18-wheezy-raspbian.img
2012-12-16-wheezy-raspbian.img
raspbmc-rc5-prebuilt.img

I tweaked 2012-12-16-wheezy-raspbian.img to boot with ssh and prompt for login (without stoping at the config page), configured fixed ip, and none worked. Got no messages on dmesg about eth0 being changed to another ethx (i read it happened with some).

The keyboard leds were always off.

All images i tried booted to the end. But I could not use mouse, keyboard or network.

Hope somebody can help me.

Thanks!

Thanks for your answer!

I'll buy a multimeter to run the tests.

In my case, when OS in SD card has some problem, you can just red LED of power. and the others shows nothing.

That is indeed true but totally irrelevant here. The OP wrote (my emphasis) "All images i tried booted to the end. But I could not use mouse, keyboard or network."
