Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt error

I tried installing raspbmc and every time it reaches the blue screen it goes back to the black screen with white text and I keep getting a Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt error. I am using a model B board, ethernet and a class 10 8gb Kingston SD card. I have tried reformatting (FAT32) and zeroing the card and each time I get this error. I have left it up to 5 hours to try and install with no luck. I have been following the lifehacker tutorial (http://lifehacker.com/5929913/build-a-x ... spberry-pi) for mac using the terminal. Am I suppose to install rasbian first? I have tried installing rasbian but I get the same timeout error.

UPDATE: I got an email from Sam Nazarko and he said Kingston cards don't work well with RaspPi. He recommended Sandisk. I'll update after I try.

Did you have any luck with this?

I'm having the same error, but I am using a sandisk SD card
(32GB extreme 45Mb/s)

did changing the SD help you?
I'm reluctant to throw good money after bad.

I'm facing the same Problems with an Class 10 SanDisk Extreme 80MB/s 8GB Card.

Is there a list were I can heck which Cards are working?

I am having the same problem with an 8GB Sandisk Class 4 card. Which is curious since I am using the same card in another raspbmc setup. Have I just got a dud card?

I had the same issue. Resolved by using the SD card formatter and installing via the NOOBS offline installer. https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/eula_mac/
