I just tried out Monkey (or gave it my best shot) but can't seem to get it running correctly. I'm no *nix genius though, so maybe I just missed something.
I'm running an up-to-date Raspbian install, and attempted to install Monkey today. I followed the instructions from http://monkey-project.com/raspberry/
and was able to install Monkey using:
sudo apt-get install monkey
but attempting to do the same with any of the plugin packages gave me "E: Unable to find package [plugin]", where plugin is the name of any of the plugins. Maybe these were automatically installed? I have no idea, and there's nothing in the limited documentation available.
I was able to confirm that Monkey works by pointing a browser to the Pi at port 2001, and the built-in tests work for CGI and path navigation, but fail for PHP. After begging for help on the IRC channel without a single reply, and scouring the Internet for /anything/ that might be helpful, I think I'm stuck. Where is the default install path for the plugins? Is there a way to confirm they are installed and are activated? It appears you can designate these if you build the app from scratch, but you are left guessing if you use apt-get.
Anyways, I'd strongly advise non-unix gurus to pass on this until the documentation is a little more fleshed out. Right now there is *very* little support available and the few bits and pieces I found on the Internet were out of date. This has been a painful day...
