allo piano 2.1 dac , no audio after updating kernel to 5.4.51

i am using raspberry os 32bit, releasaed 2020-05-27.
it was working fine with kernel came with Linux kernel 4.19.118.
i updated kernel "sudo rpi-update"....
kernel updated to 5.4.51....
after that no audio from piano 2.1 dac

checked in boot config txt
dtoverlay=allo-piano-dac-plus-pcm512x-audio
is in config text
analog & hdmi audio working normal though...

rpi-update is not a recommended upgrade procedure for Raspberry Pi Operating System as it installs Testing Kernel / Firmware:

The information is out there....you just have to let it in.

I'm seeing the same problem, no audio after kernel 5.4. I installed 5.4 through apt.

How to fix?

Other than flasing raspberry v 10.3. with old kernel.

I found a problem with the vc4-kms-v3d overlay and the new kernel was stopping my audio. You might check to see if that is enabled in your /boot/config.txt file. The fkms version works and no overlay works.
