RDC (xrdp) Problem

Hi Guys,

I am facing the following problem on my RPi 4 running the latest Buster:

Code: Select all

Linux rpi4  4.19.118-v7l+ #1311 SMP Mon Apr 27 14:26:42 BST 2020 armv7l
PRETTY_NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)"
NAME="Raspbian GNU/Linux"
VERSION_ID="10"
VERSION="10 (buster)"
VERSION_CODENAME=buster
ID=raspbian
ID_LIKE=debian
HOME_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/"
SUPPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianForums"
BUG_REPORT_URL="http://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianBugs"
I have set up two users with same rights and groups membership named PI1 and PI2. Putty login and and all others works fine for both accounts.

I am also able to login to both users via RDC (xrdp) from my windows10 notebook. Connection is established.

Logging in as user PI2 is working - Buster desktop comes up after some seconds and is full functional.
When I am logging in as user PI1, connection is established too (no errors), but the RDC Screen remains sky-blue, no Buster Desktops is fading in.

I now want to repair the acoount PI1 by copying the relevant xrdp PI2 files into the PI1 account (overwriting the corrupted files).
I am not familiar with xrdp (and additional needs) at all. What are the relevant directories and files to copy from PI2 into the PI1 account in order to repair the situation, please?

Any help is pretty much appreciated.

Thanx and regards

I switched from xrdp to realVNC for Buster because xrdp didn't work.

Many Thanx for your answer.

I would like to stay with xrdp for some reason. By logic, the problem should be solvable via rewriting relevant files on corrupted files in the PI1 Account. But which are the relevant files ....? :mrgreen:
