8x8 Dot matrix max7219 doesnt work

I am a bloody beginner everything regarding coding. I'm currently trying to hook up an 8x8 dot matrix max 7219 display to my raspberry pi zero WH.
I've installed many different dot matrix drivers but only one worked (code-wise). But if I try to run a test file, that is provided by the library, nothing happens. maybe one of you encountered the same problem or might as well help me with my problem.
