How to fix broken plastic on SD card slot?

The plastic on the right side of the SD card slot is broken. As you can see, the inserted SD card gets raised up on that side. However, the actual metal contacts aren't broken, so as long as I press down on the SD card to get it to lay flat, the raspberry pie still functions. It seems like something that should be easy to fix. I mean maybe I could get a paperclip around it. Another idea would be to find a flat, sturdy piece of plastic and super-glue it over the slot to form a closed slot. It takes a bit of force though to keep the SD card flat, which is why I'm thinking it might possibly be a good idea to break the other side of the slot, as that's what's causing it to lift up. Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks!

A good excuse to upgrade to a more recent and higher power Pi. If that's not an option, hot melt glue is good for holding the card in place. If you used a micro SD card adapter you would still be able to swap the SD card.

this solution is doable...

another solution is to wire up and solder a microSD card adapter to the board

I recommended using a wooden clothes peg or pin such as

to hold it down.

It's been a long time since I've had (or seen) that happen - my solution (along with others at the time) was superglue and plastikard (or part of an old credit card): https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_p ... ilure.html

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I found a closepin clip that would have worked but I wasn't satisfied with that solution. Thanks to @ FTrevorGowen for suggesting to use an old credit card. I wasn't sure what material to use and that turned out to be the perfect solution.
