as the title says, no green light when sd card is in.
Tried with 3 diffrent sd cards one being a sandisk ultra and theve all been fat32 formatted, any fixes?
Sorry if I wasn't clear, that's what I've been trying to boot into, I've downloaded that and extracted to my sd. nothing. tried noobs nothing, tried the imager, and still didn't work. I'm almost certain the issue is that the pi cant read sdcards, is there any way to troubleshoot/fix that?

Just to be clear...
You don't extract a RaspiOS image file to your SD card. You must write an image file to the SD card using an image writing tool such as Raspberry Pi Imager, Etcher, etc.
If your Raspberry Pi 3 is a 3B+, you can try writing the image file to a USB flash drive (also using an image writing tool) and see if it will boot. A Raspberry Pi 3 can be very finicky about directly booting USB devices, so the results may not prove or disprove anything.
that's a shame, it's my first time using it tbh, I've had it a while but never found a reason to use it until the present day. and it's already dead lol
You don't even need to extract the image with Etcher. Just write the .zip file to the card and Etcher will do the extraction for you.

Or you can use the Raspberry Pi Imager utility to download the OS and write the card all in one step.
- Is it a 3B or a 3B+ model?
- What are you using for a power supply?
- Do you see anything that looks odd with the SD card slot on the bottom of the board (bent connectors, bad solder)?

oh wow. not really sure its just been sitting on shelf. i assume thats not fixable ill get a new one. thankyouHawaiianPi wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 8:24 pmYou seem to be missing a component by the SD card slot (which I believe is a VRM). It looks like it was scraped off, as some of the pads are damaged or missing. Also, a cap and resistor seem to be missing as well (C2, R1).

Compare to this image from the Products link at the top of the page.
Oh look, yet another VRM is missing (just below PP35)! You've got a lot of damage to that board. What happened to it?
